A round sterling silver pendant set with raised cobblestone inlay: blue turquoise, orange and purple spiny oyster shell, lime-green gaspeite and black jet, each stone individually cut and shaped so the surface rises and falls like a mosaic. A wide polished sterling bail hangs it from most chains.
Cobblestone inlay is a Southwestern silversmithing technique in which every stone is hand-set in its own silver channel, then left proud of the metal instead of ground flat, so the colors catch the light from every angle.
