A tapered pendant of natural lapis lazuli set in sterling silver channel inlay. The lapis is cut in a long, gently curved panel and crossed by fine silver lines, so the deep blue reads as one clean shape from the bail to the tip. Flecks of gold pyrite in the stone catch the light.
Channel inlay is a Southwestern silversmithing tradition: each piece of stone is cut and set flush by hand between silver walls, then ground and polished level with the metal.
