A double-sided sterling silver tomahawk pendant, so it reads differently depending on which way it turns. One face of the axe head is channel-inlaid with blue turquoise crossed by fine silver lines and set off with lapis, purple sugilite and flashes of opal. Flip it and the other face is all webbed turquoise, blue with a brown spiderweb matrix, cut in panels between silver channels. The handle is wrapped in silver banding at both ends, and a sterling feather dangles from the head and swings as you move.
The tomahawk and feather are classic Southwestern motifs, here worked in silver with hand-cut inlay: each stone is set flush between silver walls, then ground and polished level with the metal.
- Side one: natural turquoise with lapis, sugilite and opal accents, channel inlay
- Side two: webbed natural turquoise, channel inlay
- Metal: sterling silver
- Details: wrapped handle, dangling sterling feather; reversible
